ORTIGIA FILM FESTIVAL will take place on July 12\/18 2021 in Siracusa.<br \/>\nThe mission of the OFF (Ortigia film festival acronym) is to propose itself as a meeting place between directors and emerging young filmmakers, but also to promote and spread the different forms of audiovisual.\n<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong><u> SECTIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Competitive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Italian First and Second Feature Film Competition<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong> International Documentary Competition<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong> International Short Film Competition<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Non-Competitive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Cinema Women<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong> Cinema &#038; Theatre<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong><u> FEATURE FILM COMPETITION<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Italian filmmakers\u2019 first and second fiction feature films completed after January the 1st 2020 are eligible for this Competition. Films which have already participated in or won other festivals are also eligible. The films will be selected with the final decision of the Artistic Director and a Selection Committee of the festival.<br \/>\nApplications will be submitted by the deadline of April 30th 2021 by filling in the entry form for the Entry Form to be completed online or Filmfreeway.<\/p>\n<p>A Jury of professionals in film industry will be nominated by the Festival to assign the following Awards:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 Best Film Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 Best Actor Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 Best Script Siae Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>OFF 13\/ 2021 Audience Best Film Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Audience Award will be assigned by the audience at the screenings. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong><u> INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY COMPETITIVE<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>International documentaries (Italian and foreign) that are finished after January 1, 2020 are admitted to the competition. The selection of the films in competition takes place under the responsibility of the artistic director and the selection committee of the Festival.<br \/>\nApplications must be submitted by the deadline of April 30th 2021 by filling in the entry form for the Entry Form to be completed online or Filmfreeway.<br \/>\n\u2981\tThe Festival Direction, in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia &#8211; Scuola Nazionale di Cinema &#8211; Sede Sicilia, will nominate a jury made up of students of the CSC Documentary Film Direction Course to assign the following Awards: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 \u201cSebastiano Gesu\u0300\u201d Best Documentary Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The jury reserves the right to assign any special mentions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 Audience Best Documentary Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Audience Award will be assigned by the audience at the screenings. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong><u> INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>International short film (Italian and foreign) that are finished after January 1, 2020 are admitted to the competition. The selection of the films in competition takes place under the responsibility of the artistic director and the selection committee of the Festival.The maximum length is 15 minutes.<br \/>\nApplications must be submitted by the deadline of April 30th 2021 by filling in the entry form for the Entry Form to be completed online or Filmfreeway.<\/p>\n<p>A Jury of professionals in film industry will be nominated by the Festival to assign the following Awards:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 Best Short Film Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The jury reserves the right to assign any special mentions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF13\/ 2021 Audience Best Short Film Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Audience Award will be assigned by the audience at the screenings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong><u> SUBMISSIONS  <\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/OrtigiaFilmFestival\">Filmfreeway<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>For the competitive sections, the entry fee to the festival is \u20ac 10,00 for feature films and documentaries; \u20ac 5,00 for short films. The fee is required to partially cover the secretarial expenses of the festival;<\/li>\n<li> For non-competitive sections the submission is free. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To submit a film to the Festival, please include the following materials: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Synopsis (Italian-English)<\/li>\n<li>Description of Film and Credits<\/li>\n<li>Poster and photo of the film in high resolution jpg, tif or pdf format\n<\/li>\n<li>Biography and Filmography of the filmmaker (Italian-English)<\/li>\n<li>For the Feature Films: the Press Kit<\/li>\n<li>Stream movie link with password <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The link to watch the movie in streaming must be valid until the end of the festival.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong><u> TERMS AND SHIPPING DETAILS<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The registration containing the requested material must be made no later than 11.30 pm on April 30th 2021, the receipt of the email will be considered valid.<\/p>\n<p>For more info:: <strong>video@ortigiafilmfestival.it<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong><u> SCREENINGS and SCHEDULES <\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The screenings schedule will be communicated by<strong>ORTIGIA FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>8.1 Short film and Documentary Section <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Producers and\/or filmmakers invited to participate will be notified by the Festival and must be sending the requested materials ASAP (film stills, text, dialogue list, posters, trailers, clips etc.).<br \/>\nThe material may be used in the Festival Catalogue, Festival Program, Festival Website, and may be made available to the Press for the purposes of promoting the film. Films must be received in DVD, HD, Blu-Ray or DCP format no later than June 28th 2021. For screening purposes, we require the DVD to be in PAL format. Due to technical incompatibility, NTSC formats will not be screened <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><strong><u> Terms and Conditions<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>9.1<\/strong> Producers or the filmmakers invited to the Festival are responsible for the submitted film and declare to have fulfilled any obligations towards third party Copyright holders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.2<\/strong> The producer or filmmaker is responsible for all costs associated with sending the DVD to the Festival. By sending the DVD the producer or filmmaker accepts these Regulations in full, and, if they are invited, irrevocably agree to the screening of the film at the 2021 edition of OFF.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OFF will only pay the out-bound freight for films invited to the Festival. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>9.4<\/strong> By submitting the film and sending the DVD the producers or filmmakers agree with these Regulations. In the case of disputes which cannot be resolved by the application of these Regulations, the Festival Artistic Director reserves the right to make the final decision. The Italian version of these Regulations is the Official version.
