Films which have already participated in or won other festivals are also eligible. The films will be selected with the final decision of the Artistic Director and a Selection Committee of the festival.<\/p>\n<p>Applications will be submitted by the deadline of <strong>5 May 2022<\/strong> by filling in the entry form on <a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/OrtigiaFilmFestival\">Filmfreeway<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A Jury of professionals in film industry will be nominated by the Festival to assign the following Awards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF14\/2022 Best Film Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>OFF14\/2022 Best Actor Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>OFF14\/2022 Best Script Siae Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>OFF14\/2022 Audience Best Film Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Audience Award will be assigned by the audience at the screenings.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong><u> INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY COMPETITIVE<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>International documentaries (Italian and foreign) that are finished after January 1, 2021 are admitted to the competition. The selection of the films in competition takes place under the responsibility of the artistic director and the selection committee of the Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Applications will be submitted by the deadline of <strong>5 May 2022<\/strong> by filling in the entry form on <a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway.com\/OrtigiaFilmFestival\">Filmfreeway<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival Direction, in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia &#8211; Scuola Nazionale di Cinema &#8211; Sede Sicilia, will nominate a jury made up of students of the CSC Documentary Film Direction Course to assign the following Awards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF14\/2022 <\/strong><strong>\u201cSebastiano Gesu\u0300\u201d Best Documentary Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The jury reserves the right to assign any special mentions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OFF14\/2022 <\/strong><strong>Audience Best Documentary Award<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Audience Award will be assigned by the audience at the screenings.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong><u> INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>International short film (Italian and foreign) that are finished after January 1, 2021 are admitted to the competition. The fee is required to partially cover the secretarial expenses of the festival;<\/li>\n<li>For non-competitive sections the submission is free.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To submit a film to the Festival, please include the following materials:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Synopsis (Italian-English)<\/li>\n<li>Description of Film and Credits<\/li>\n<li>Poster and photo of the film in high resolution jpg, tif or pdf format<\/li>\n<li>Biography and Filmography of the filmmaker (Italian-English)<\/li>\n<li>For the Feature Films: the Press Kit<\/li>\n<li>Stream movie link with password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The link to watch the movie in streaming must be valid until the end of the festival.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong><u> TERMS AND SHIPPING DETAILS<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The registration containing the requested material must be made no later than <strong>11.30<\/strong> pm on <strong>may <\/strong><strong>5th 2022<\/strong>, the receipt of the email will be considered valid.<\/p>\n<p>For more info: <strong>video@ortigiafilmfestival.it<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong><u> SCREENINGS and SCHEDULES<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The screenings schedule will be communicated by <strong>ORTIGIA FILM FESTIVAL.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>8.1 Short film and Documentary Section<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Producers and\/or filmmakers invited to participate will be notified by the Festival and must be sending the requested materials ASAP (film stills, text, dialogue list, posters, trailers, clips etc.).<\/p>\n<p>The material may be used in the Festival Catalogue, Festival Program, Festival Website, and may be made available to the Press for the purposes of promoting the film. Films must be received in DVD, HD or Blu-Ray no later than <strong>June 28th 2022<\/strong>. For screening purposes, we require the DVD to be in PAL format. Due to technical incompatibility, NTSC formats will not be screened.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><strong><u> Terms and Conditions<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>9.1<\/strong> Producers or the filmmakers invited to the Festival are responsible for the submitted film and declare to have fulfilled any obligations towards third party Copyright holders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.2<\/strong> The producer or filmmaker is responsible for all costs associated with sending the DVD to the Festival. By sending the DVD the producer or filmmaker accepts these Regulations in full, and, if they are invited, irrevocably agree to the screening of the film at the 2022 edition of OFF.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OFF will only pay the out-bound freight for films invited to the Festival.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>9.4 <\/strong>By submitting the film and sending the DVD the producers or filmmakers agree with these Regulations. In the case of disputes which cannot be resolved by the application of these Regulations, the Festival Artistic Director reserves the right to make the final decision. The Italian version of these Regulations is the Official version.
