Viviana is a former dreamer who can’t seem to find peace. Life at 40 isn’t what she thought it would be when she was a little girl. She has always taken refuge in the lives of others\u2014she’s an actress\u2014but not even the job she loves so much gives her what she was looking for. Men even less so. Finding pleasure is hard. She is alone; her deepest bond is with her mother, who has lately been acting strange, doing senseless things. It turns out to be Alzheimer’s\u2014she’s starting to lose pieces of her life, and she will eventually forget her daughter too, even though Viviana will be right there by her side. The grief is overwhelming, spilling over from Viviana’s body, seemingly taking her breath away. But breathing right now is essential; she has to do it, if only for her mother.
