On Sunday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m., we’ll meet at the Ortea Palace Hotel in Ortigia. A heartfelt thank you to the talented Syracusan Ernesto Marciante, who—to celebrate this milestone with us—will honor the festival with a live musical introduction on the piano.

Ernesto has always combined creativity with outreach, making music an accessible and shared language. Having him with us to open the festival is a true privilege!

The opening ceremony will feature Claudia Catalli, Mayor Francesco Italia, artistic directors Lisa Romano and Paola Poli, and the cultural committee represented by Teresa De Santis.

The installation OFF18 Leuzzi: Memoria Futura will be unveiled in the presence of artist Mirko Leuzzi, followed by the theatrical performance Il messaggio dell’imperatore in collaboration with the Ortyx Drama Festival.
