SINOSSI
The Liceo Scientifico Corbino has been home to culture for a hundred years, a place of mental fervor and progress. Established by Royal Decree on 9 September 1923, the Scientific Lyceum, after have absorbed the physico-mathematical section of the Technical Institute “Alessandro Rizza”, was named after Orso Mario Corbino, distinguished physicist, and Minister of Economy, in February 1924. From the first few classrooms allocated in the former convent of San Francesco di Paola, has grown and established over the years, becoming a symbol of Siracusa Area, icon of knowledge and important cultural forge of the whole province, ranking for several years among the best scientific high schools according to the Eduscopio ranking for the Agnelli Foundation.
