SYNOPSIS
In 1943, during World War II, Emma is a fifteen-year-old girl living in Switzerland, near the French border. She becomes pregnant after being raped while competing for a virtue prize to fund her nursing studies. Driven by her will to live, she will have to make heartbreaking choices to pursue her aspirations. She will also have to face the prejudices of her Protestant community.
