As part of the OFF Talks series, the Ortigia Film Festival presents an exclusive conversation. On one side is Marco Manusso, a legendary guitarist and session musician who, for over fifty years, has shaped the history of Italian music through collaborations ranging from Francesco De Gregori to Lucio Dalla, all the way to the international legend Ray Charles.
On the other side is Marco Castello, a multi-instrumentalist from Syracuse—born in 1993—and a pure talent of our time. An eclectic artist, he is capable of playing the drums with an unmistakable funk groove and, at the same time, writing delicate songs while accompanying himself on guitar, trumpet, and piano.
A comparison of these two artistic journeys to explore music and art from the inside, focusing in particular on the deep connection and ongoing dialogue these two artists maintain with the world of cinema.
