Musico Intervista a Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi
Moderator: Gloria Vincenti. On guitar Andrea Romano.

A refined and versatile songwriter, he has been on the Italian music scene for almost 30 years as a performer, author, performer, record producer and artistic director.
One of the creators of the underground scene in Italy, after a wonderful experience with Carnival of Fools, in 1993 he founded La Crus, a disruptive band that changed the rules of Italian alternative music.
A solo artist since 2007, his works are expressions of a search for atmospheres that are always different yet united by an unmistakable and sincere imprint, free to move between rock, pop and the Italian singer-songwriter tradition.
Four times Targa Tenco.
He took part in the 2011 Sanremo Festival with Io Confesso, becoming the moral winner of that edition, and first in the ranking of the song most played by radio stations.
Over the years, he has developed an intense relationship with the theatre, working on several shows with leading directors, developing an elective affinity especially with Milan’s Teatro dell’Elfo in the persons of Francesco Frongia and Ferdinando Bruni. He was founder together with Manuel Agnelli, Giacomo Spazio and Carlo Albertoli of the independent label Vox Pop, with more than 100 catalogue issues printed and distributed both in Italy and abroad.
Artistic director of several music and literature festivals, including since 2018 at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona, La Mia Generazione Festival, where he tells the story of how culturally important and disruptive the musical season of the 1990s was for the years to follow, both in Italy and the rest of the world. His last record release was a work dedicated to Pasolini, and in March 2024 a new La Crus album will be released after almost 20 years
