SYNOPSIS
Sicily 1958. The town of Cofone, in the Sicilian hinterland, has its streets covered with electoral posters in view of the elections of the First Citizen to the City Council. A few days before the elections, the candidate for mayor of the P.C.I. dies. Between the loss of the comrades and the conjectures of the villagers, the religious service turns into a theater of the absurd. But the disbelief of the crowd finds its climax in the last will of the deceased…
