SYNOPSIS
This is the story of Captain Paul Watson, Canadian activist and environmentalist, founder of Sea Shepherd and co-founder of Greenpeace, the pirate who fearlessly crosses the ocean in defence of the marine world. A complex picture of environmentalism, adrenalin-fuelled and fascinating, which in the depths of the sea forces us to hold our breath. The ocean produces oxygen, regulates the Earth’s climate and is home to numerous species, many yet to be discovered, but it has also become a war zone. “If the ocean dies, we all die. We could not survive on this planet with a dead ocean,” says Watson, who has repeatedly risked his life and freedom to save the ocean and its inhabitants. Co-founder of Greenpeace and captain of Sea Shepherd, Paul Watson has spent 40 years fighting to end the destruction of ocean wildlife and its habitats. Part pirate and part philosophical, Watson’s methods have stopped at nothing to protect what lies beneath the waters.
